    Honoring the influence of Jazz on Hip Hop and Spoken Word Poetry, Se’Anna co-curated and rocked the stage at this fusion event.

  • Pimento On The Lake Juneteenth (June 2025)

    While cooling by the Lakeside at Bde Maka Ska, Se’Anna joined fellow artists in a Healing Hip Hop Cypher to close out the Juneteenth holiday.

  • Soul Of The Southside (June 2025)

    On Juneteenth, Se’Anna represented her Southside roots when taking the Legacy Building Stage at their annual “Soul of The Southside” community celebration.

  • The SOTA Movement (June 2025)

    Se’Anna was honored to be invited to represent Women in Hip Hop alongside a handful of Femcees and B-Girls in a showstopping cypher for the annual SOTA Movement on June 15th, 2025.

  • Justice For George (May 2025)

    On the 5th anniversary of the murder of George Floyd, Se’Anna delivered a galvanizing performance as a part of an eclectic lineup of local artists invited to commemorate the justice movement.

  • Silk, Satin and Dreams (March 2025)

    Se’Anna was delighted to partner with In Sisterhood, We Brunch in the uplifting of women of color with her Keynote Speech and Vision Crafting Workshop for their “Silk, Satin and Dreams” girls night in affair.

    For the third gathering, the revolutionary collective celebrated the beauty and power of black love, ranging from personal relationships to communal bonding.

  • Roots & Rhythm: An Ujima Jam (Dec. 2024)

    Continuing the communal observation, Se’Anna partnered with The New Renaissance and fellow artists Jackson Hurst, Endia Tierra, and Juice Lord to produce “Roots & Rhythm”: A night of uplifting musical performances that amplified collective work and responsibility to one another.

  • Reads For My People (Dec. 2024)

    In observation of Kwanzaa, the dynamic trio returned to celebrate Self-Determination in community as Se’Anna hosted and sponsored the second “Reads For My People” gathering.

  • Reads For My People (Nov. 2024)

    In collaboration with community organizer, Adae Biko, and DJ JG Gillespie, Se’Anna hosted the first “Reads For My People”: A poetry jam and thought session amplifying the yoke of revolution and artistry.

  • Finding Your Freedom Practice Launch (Sept. 2024)

    In support of the “Finding Your Freedom Practice” (a community based program centered on art as a medium for wellness), Se’Anna had the honor of hosting its first annual fundraiser at one of the newest the Northside staples, Tap In.

  • Ancestors Rising (Aug. 2024)

    Se’Anna returned to the second sequential installment of the afrofuturistic theatric production: Ancestors Rising. In addition to her on stage role, she also teamed up with The New Renaissance as a contributor to the musical direction for the King and Queen universes.

    Beyond the Mic. hosted a series of four community conversations in collaboration with local Hip Hop Artists around social infrastructure—defying the stereotypes that Hip Hop artists don’t consider how they navigate and impact the world while breaking a persona that undermines the humanity behind the craft.

    Se’Anna returned to Phoenix, AZ for the 2024 ATTITUDE Mental Health Summit with her “Vision Restored” Workshop — encouraging black women from across the U.S. to captivate their creative power in achieving their goals!

    Curated by Joe Davis under The New Renaissance, Se’Anna was welcomed as a Neo Griot in this afrofuturistic theatrical production that explored black joy and healing alongside a plethora of poets, musicians and fellow community movers & shakers.

    Se’Anna joined an eclectic group of individuals and bands alike united in artistry for this installment of Carnage the Executioner’s “Collaboratory”.

    In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Se’Anna supported the “Art Saved My Life” Open Mic Showcase as a featured artist to shed light on the powerful impact that creativity can have on the world around us.

    Se’Anna joined several other dynamic spoken word artists alongside Theatre 45 for an inciting performance before a fellowship of elders to spark conversations about religious perspective as it pertains to raw, real life experiences.

    As a part of a lively lineup, Se’Anna used her musical talents to help Students United raise scholarship funds that would benefit Black, Indigenous, POC, and other low-income students during a fun-filled night at Can Can Wonderland!

    The ‘On da Mic’ Initiative had the pleasure of partnering with Social Roots LLC as a sponsor for their annual mental health summit for African American women in Phoenix, AZ.

    Invited by the renowned Twin Cities Poet Joe Davis himself, Se’Anna helped honor the rhymist with a performance in celebration of his birthday.

    Se’Anna was ecstatic to join the Barbershop and Black Congregation Cooperative to bring together and empower black women in Minneapolis with an uplifting poem and a word of encouragement.

    The ‘On da Mic’ Initiative supported the Justice is Love Coalition’s annual “Follow Black Women” Conference—designed to unite and uplift black women of all ages from various walks of life—as a vendor sponsor.

    Se’Anna helped create new traditions in making room for female emcees on the Minneapolis Hip Hop scene by gracing the second volume of Gladiator School as the first woman to participate.

    Se’Anna was one of 12 participants in the 2021 “Till the Last Word” Poetry Slam that had taken place in Minneapolis MN.

    Se’Anna joined a collective of other faith-based musicians to put on a free outdoor concert at Park Avenue United Methodist Church.

  • Twin Cities Day of Dignity (2021)

    Se’Anna spoke life, truth and light without hesitation at the annual Twin Cities Day of Dignity community resource distribution and fellowship hosted by the Masjid An-Nur.

  • Twin Cities Annual Dilla Day Celebration (2020)

    Se’Anna returned to the annual celebration of Hip Hop mogul J-Dilla to give a lively performance for Hip Hop lovers from across the city.

    Invited by the Perpich Center for Arts Education, Se’Anna shared some of her richest cultured-centered stories for their student-coordinated Black History Month Celebration.

    In 2019, Se’Anna was selected by The Ambiance Theatre to partake in the original multi-medium, art-enfolded production of “The Garden” alongside a full black womxn cast.

  • Twin Cities Annual Dilla Day Celebration (2018)

    Se’Anna was honored to open the 2018 Annual Dilla Day Celebration in the Twin Cities for legendary DJ and Emcee, Pete Rock.
